The City of Miramar is proud to recognize our very own Miss Miramar Teen USA, Alexis Santana! Alexis has been representing the City of Miramar in various contests and pageants since infancy! Alexis’ most recent former title was World’s Perfect Jr. Teen 2015. She will once again represent Miramar in the upcoming Miss Florida Teen USA Pageant December 14-17, 2017 in Tampa, Florida.
This talented young lady has been on the move for many years within our community and in 2013, the City Commission proclaimed that November 18th would be “Alexis Santana Day” in honor of her dedication to community service.
One of the programs Alexis can be proud of is her non-profit organization, The Heartbeat Dance Program. The program is in its 7th year of operation and offers free dance classes to children and young adults with special needs. She is also heavily involved in fundraising for several causes– including Relay for Life – Team Divas for a Cure and #SamStrong in support of the fight against cancer.
As a proud Miramar Resident with a family heritage of Beauty in Progress Right Here in Miramar, Alexis’ mother started the trend by winning several beauty contests representing Miramar throughout her childhood. It has truly been a family affair representing Miramar with such beauty and grace.

She shared with us how she got started in pageants, where she derives her confidence and what she is doing to encourage teens in her role as Miss Teen Miramar USA.
