The City of Miramar hosted the Grand Opening of Fire Station 107 located at 11811 Miramar Parkway on Saturday, February 24, 2018 with City Commission, staff and guests in attendance.
The new station is a three-bay, 14,127-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility designed for maximum efficiency as well as administrative and existential needs of its fire-fighting and rescue personnel. This LEED Silver Certified facility reinforces Miramar’s commitment toward the development of sustainable and energy efficient building designs.
The station offers a public lobby, public conference room, and public restroom, as well as 33 parking spaces in the front and directly behind the building. Personnel amenities include a day room, full kitchen, pantries, dining room, outdoor covered dining patio, bunk rooms for ten, communication/study room, exercise room, shower and changing rooms, laundry, and administrative offices. Technical spaces include electrical, data, decontamination, cascades, emergency medical supply, equipment storage, and bunker gear rooms.
